DAYTON, Tenn. – Women's basketball played tough but in the end Bryan College pulled away to gain a 65-58 win over the Rams to remain undefeated in the young season and in conference play Wednesday night.
The Rams, trailing after one quarter of action, had a strong second quarter and led the Lions 30-27 at halftime. Bryan took the lead in the third and led 47-43 going into the fourth and final period. The Lions pulled ahead by nine midway through the fourth but Bluefield made a charge with just over three minutes to play. The Rams got to within five, but could pull no closer.
Kianna Campbell led Bluefield in scoring and rebounding with 16 points and nine boards.
Cierra Cook added 10 points as did
Kendal Cloninger.
