PIKEVILLE, Ky. - Kendal Cloninger fired in 15 points and drained three treys to top the Bluefield College scoring column, but the Shawnee State University Bears pulled away in the second half for a 78=60 win over the Rams, Friday afternoon in the Appalachian Wireless Classic.
The Rams trailed by six, 39-33 at halftime, but a strong second half by SSU gave the Bears the win.
Tianna Crockett added 12 points with five boards, while
Cierra Cook scored 11.
Ralayah McRae tallied 10 with three steals.
The Rams take on host Pikeville, Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
