Women's volleyball downs CIU Rams

BLUEFIELD - The Bluefield College Rams were back in action Saturday afternoon at the Dome taking on Columbia International University Rams and claimed a victory in three sets, 25-18, 25-12, and 25-20.  
To start the match off BC scored first point and continued to advance their lead to five to two. CIU came back, tied, then took lead over BC at seven to six. The BC Rams were not happy with that, so they tied back up and claimed a two-point lead at nine to seven. Columbia International slowly took lead back and increased their score to 16-15, just in time for BC to tie and take lead by five 22-17. With BC being on a roll, they won set one 25-18.  
To start set two, the BC Rams took a seven to one lead.  After CIU scored a few points, BC kept increasing their lead to double what CIU score is, 14-seven and kept scoring. After CIU took a timeout, the BC Rams kept increasing their lead to ten points at 21-11. BC Rams took second set 25-12.   
BC stared set three off to a seven to three lead. Throughout the first part of the set, the BC Rams held at least a three-point lead over CIU Rams at 13-10. The largest lead BC had was six at 16-10. As CIU scored a point BC did as well and this went back and forth to make score 21-14. Columbia International made a small increase in their score at match point for BC at 24-20, only a four-point lead. The BC Rams claimed a victory in set three at 25-20.
