COLUMBIA, S.C. - Women's basketball won its second consecutive game and completed the season sweep of Columbia College, defeating the Koalas on their home court Wednesday night 58-53.
Cierra Cook led the Rams with 12 points, while
Courtney Kendrick finished with 10.
Kierra Bell-Linnear had a team-high seven rebounds and added nine points.
The teams were knotted at 10 after the first quarter and the Rams managed to take a 29-23 lead into the intermission. Close in the third quarter, Columbia briefly took the lead, but BC fought back and led 41-37 headed into the final 10 minutes. Columbia got within a couple of points on several occasions, but the Rams did not relinquish the lead in gaining their ninth conference win of the season in 15 games. The team is 10-9 overall.
