Box Score MADISONVILLE, Tenn. - Baseball won its first game in the NCCAA Mid-East regional 8-1 over Johnson University, Wednesday aftenoon at Hiwassee College.
Alex Perkins pitched eight innings of four hit baseball to get the win for the Rams. Perkins struck out seven and did not walk a batter. Tyler Conklin pitched a scoreless ninth inning for BC.
Nick Meadows was 3-for-3 at the plate for Bluefield with a double while Baley Castro and Jordan Jackson each had a pair of doubles and Jordan Ackerman had two hits.
The Rams continue regional play Thursday as they take on host Hiwassee in the winner's bracket of the double-elimination tournament at noon.
