Box Score 3 ATHENS, Tenn. - Baseball suffered a setback in its extended series at Tennessee Wesleyan. BC and TWU moved the opening game of the series from Friday to Thursday, but rain then pushed the final games all the way to Sunday. The Bulldogs swept the Rams in the three game Appalachian Athletic Conference series.
GAME 1 - THURSDAY
Tennessee Wesleyan took the opening game 16-1 as the Bulldogs scattered six hits among the Bluefield lineup and held the Rams to no extra base hits.
SERIES GAME 2 - SUNDAY DOUBLEHEADER GAME 1
The Rams battled as
Jordan Ackerman was 3-for-4 at the plate and
Jose Perez and
Marcus Espinal both ripped two hits, but fell 4-1.
SERIES GAME 3 - SUNDAY DOUBLEHEADER GAME 2
TWU took the doubleheader and series finale 16-1 and held the Rams to two base hits. Perez and
Baley Castro had Bluefield's only hits of the game.
