Box Score 2 WILMORE, Ky. - Softball split its regular-season finale at Asbury University, Thursday, dropping game one and winning game two in the Bluegrass State.
GAME ONE
In the opening game the Rams'
Cameron Pearson had two hits including a double, but the Rams fell to Asbury 3-1. Pearson was stellar in the circle for Bluefield as she allowed only five hits and struck out five.
GAME TWO
in the nightcap Bluefield banged out 11 hits and
Laken Sparks won in the circle, allowing only five Asbury hits. Pearson was 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple, while
Meredith Throckmortonhad a pair of hits and three RBIs.
Kaitlyn Pennington had two hits.
Bluefield's game on Friday at Hiwassee was canceled due to the weather.
The Rams finished the regular season with a record of 16-21 and won seven of their final 10 games.
