Box Score 2 BLUEFIELD - Baseball dropped a doubleheader to NCCAA Mid-East regional rival Hiwassee, Wednesday afternoon at Bowen Field.
GAME 1
The Tigers took the opening game 14-4 as they out-hit the Rams 13-8. Bluefield's lone runs came in the sixth and seventh inning on two run home runs by
Joshua Magee and
Nick Meadows.
GAME 2
Hiwassee scored in the first inning and added three in the fourth as the Rams played catch-up, scoring single runs in the fourth and fifth frames.
Jordan Ackerman had two hits for Bluefield.
UP NEXT
The Rams (22-16) return to Appalachian Athletic Conference play on Friday as they welcome Reinhardt University to Bowen Field for a three-game weekend series. Friday's game will be a single nine inning game followed by a doubleheader on Saturday.
