BLUEFIELD - A new chapter of Bluefield College sports history was written Thursday night when wrestling hosted its first home match.
Will Anders won the first match of the night in the 125-pound class, and
Matthew Bourne won the final match in the 285 division. In between the Rams won a few and lost a few but the visiting WVU Tech Golden Bears claimed a 31-24 win at the Dome in the school's first home match, and the first dual match in BC history.
"We did some good things and we still have some things to work on and get stronger," said BC head coach Jason Waleti, following the match.
The Rams also got victories from
Noah Reynolds and
Luke Young.
A large crowd was on hand at the Dome to cheer on the Rams in the first-ever home match in school history. The next home match is scheduled for Dec. 10 against King University.
