BLUEFIELD - Men's basketball was back in action in the Dome Saturday afternoon, less than 24 hours after their win the University of Rio Grande in the Bevo Francis Classic. The AAC win over Columbia International University 99-89, made the Rams 5-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
The first half started off promising for the Rams with a 15-13 lead within the first five minutes. Solid defense and clutch shots made for the early lead in the first half. Continuing with the lead midway through the first half, BC led with a score of 24-14. The first half ended with a 38-35 lead for the Rams. Leading the Rams in the first 20 minutes were Niquan Cousins with eight points, Ty'Quon Reid with seven, and Jermiah Jenkins with six. 
The second half continued on a high note for the Rams, who led 68-60 midway through. Continued battling by BC made for a lead until the very end to where the Rams clinched the win.  Leaders for the Rams were Cousins with 25 points and 9 rebounds, Jenkins with 21 points and five assists, and Isaiah Tatum with 14 points and five rebounds.
