BLUEFIELD – Men's basketball came back to the Dome Wednesday night and welcomed the Bryan College Lions after a great 102-95 win over Point University on Saturday. A hard fought battle made for a Rams win over Bryan 80-73. This makes the men's basketball team 3-0 for the season and 2-0 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
The first half of the game started quick with BC tying Bryan 10-10 in the first five minutes. Midway through the first half the Rams gained the lead on the Lions 18-15. BC continued working against Bryan, but fell short with a score of 37-33 going into the half. The leading scorers for the Rams in the first half were Ty'quon Reid with 12 points, David Tripp with nine, and Jorge Concepcion III with seven.
Going into the second half the Rams started strong, gaining the lead 52-51 midway through. Continuing the battle, the Rams ended the game on top with a score of 80-73. Leaders for the Rams were Niquan Cousins with 20 points, Reid with 16 points, and Tripp with 15.
