BECKLEY, W.Va. - Bluefield College's women's volleyball team opened the 2017 season against an old foe in a new location. The Rams took on WVU Tech in the Golden Bears new hometown of Beckley and fell in four sets 11-25, 25-23, 13-25, 11-25.
After drawing even in the second set, the homestanding Bears went on the rampage and sent the Rams to defeat.
WVU Tech moved its campus from Montgomery, W.Va., to Beckley, W.Va. this school year.
Camry McCroskey led Bluefield with 29 assists and five kills.
Lexie Mocarski had 10 kills and
Ellen Johnson had nine.
Paige Fisher finished with 16 digs and
Lexie Austin had a pair of blocks.
The Rams take to the road this weekend in the Running Eagle Classic at Life University in Marietta, Ga. The Rams will take on Life University and Martin Methodist College on Friday, then face William Carey University and Faulkner University on Saturday.
