Box Score BLUEFIELD - The Bluefield College baseball team snapped an eight-game losing skid, Wednesday afternoon, with a 12-2 win over Alice Lloyd College at Bowen Field.
The Rams had two big run innings, scoring five runs in the fifth and seven more in the seventh, to end the game due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Bluefield pounded out 12 hits in the contest, led by
Jose Perez,
Austin Browning,
Hunter Burnette and
Jordan Jackson who had two hits apiece.
Erik Williams slammed his 19th home run of the season.
Roswel Rasario got the pitching victory in relief of starter
Caleb Newman. Rasario pitched three scoreless innings, allowed two hits and struck out three.
Jesus Roldan worked the final two innings for the Rams in a non-save situation.
The Rams are now 23-22 on the season and welcome Bryan to Bowen Field for a three-game Appalachian Athletic Conference series beginning Friday afternoon and concluding with a Saturday doubleheader.
