Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Faulkner Eagles scored three third-quarter touchdowns to erase a Bluefield College halftime lead and claim a 28-13 win, Saturday afternoon at B.D. Hilyer Stadium.
Faulkner scored the game's first points before Alex Martin ran 14 yards for the Rams first score with 25 seconds left in the opening period. The Rams went ahead 13-7 when Ashten Dixon completed a five yard pass to Braxton Knotts and Benjamin Brown booted the PAT. Bluefield carried the 13-7 lead into the break.
Faulkner scored three times in six minutes in the third period to retake the lead and claim the victory.
Martin led Bluefield with 84 yards on 12 carries and Kenavus Jones ran for 36 yards. Dixon completed 11-of-28 passes for 97 yards and a score.
Chris DeBerry led Bluefield with six tackles. Carlton Toussaint and Tavon Rivera each had five tackles, while Shaun Kolb and Tracey Parker Jr. each had a sack.
Bluefield returns home Saturday to face Lindsey Wilson College.
