Box Score 2 BLUEFIELD, Va. - The brooms were out at Bowen Field, Tuesday afternoon as the Bluefield College Rams swept a doubleheader from Ohio State Lima and completed a two-day four-game series sweep of the Barons, 8-2 and 9-1.
In the opening game BC exploded for five runs in the first inning and never looked back.
Erik Williams slammed a pair of home runs along with a double and drove in three runs in the game. while
Garrett Schilling homered and doubled, knocking in two runs.
Dylan Lowenstein had a double and
Matt Ferreira had a pair of hits including a triple and drove home a run.
Roswel Rasario pitched five innings of two-hit baseball. Rosario gave up five hits and struck out five to get the win.
Mike Tinucci worked the final two innings.
Lima's Matthew Schlaack was dealt the loss in four-and-a-third innings of work. Johnny Schmook had a pair of hits and two RBIs for the Barons.
Bluefield completed the series sweep in game two as Williams slammed his third home run of the day and had a sacrifce fly. He added two RBIs to his season total.
Dallas Bacon was the big man at the plate for the Rams as he went 4-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs.
Addison Wood claimed the pitching victory as he pitched six innings, allowed two hits and struck out seven.
Zac Tapia pitched the final two frames for Bluefield.
The Rams are now 12-13 on the season and host Milligan in an AAC series this weekend.
