Box Score MOORESVILLE, N.C. - The Bluefield Rams baseball team pushed its winning streak to four with a doubleheader sweep of St. Francis (Ind.), Sunday afternoon at Moor Park in Moorefield, N.C.
In game one the Rams got a three-hit shutout from Michael Carpenter. Carpenter worked the full seven innings on the mound and struck out seven Cougars. He was assisted at the plate by Dylan Lowenstein who was 2-for-3 and Matt Ferreira who was 2-for-2. Nolan Soto knocked in two of Bluefield's three runs.
Game two saw St. Francis take an early lead before Bluefield plated 10 runs in the third inning to take command. Erik Williams was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs, while Ryan Lawson was 2-for-5 with a home run and six runs batted in. Eddie Torres, Ben Rife and Jordan Ackerman each had two hits for the Rams who pounded out 16 hits in the game.
Christian Sinnott got the win for Bluefield, the second of five Rams pitchers.
BC is now 6-9 on the season, winners of four in a row and six of their last 10 games. The Rams open AAC play Friday at Point.
