Women's volleyball falls victim to WVU Tech

BLUEFIELD, Va. – The women's volleyball team fell short to West Virginia Tech Thursday night, as they dropped their final home match of the season in four sets.
The Rams jumped out to an early lead in a tight 26-24 opening set, thanks to a big block by Kayla Via late in the set. BC would drop the next three sets by scores of 26-24, 26-24, and 25-20.
The Rams fell short despite a close and hard fought battle. The Golden Bears balanced attack gave BC some trouble.
Lexie Mocarski led the Rams offensively with 22 kills, Via had nine, while Ellen Johnson and Mikaela Hurst each pitched in with eight. Camry McCroskey set up her hitters nicely with 48 assists. Ashlyn VanDyke was all over the court with 15 digs in her final game at the dome.
The Rams head to High Point, N.C. on Saturday to take on John Wesley University.
