WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Bluefield College Rams men's soccer team made it two straight wins, claiming a 1-nil victory over the homestanding University of the Cumberlands Patriots, Wednesday afternoon.
The match's lone goal came in the 85th minute when Matthew Carragher scored on an assist from Nikolai Vilsboll.
Bluefield goalkeeper Oscar Hernandez recorded three saves in the contest and the Rams out-shot the Patriots 11-7.
Bluefield's win comes on the heels of its first victory of the season last Saturday against nationally-ranked Indiana Wesleyan, a 2-1 win on the second day of the Bethel (Ind.) Classic. The Rams are now 2-3 and host Columbia International University, Saturday afternoon at 3:00 at the East River Soccer Complex.
