Box Score 1 ATHENS, W.Va. – The Bluefield College Rams women's volleyball team got back in the win column Tuesday afternoon with a 3-2 win over the Concord University Mountain Lions on the CU campus.
The Rams took the five set win 25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 23-25 and 15-13.
Bluefield got outstanding performances from Camry McCroskey with 33 assists and Channel Flores with 23 assists. Lexie Mocarski had 21 digs and eight kills while Lexie Austin had nine kills. Ashlyn VanDyke has 19 digs. Ellen Johnson (14 kills), Rachel Alley (15 kills) and Amber Taylor-Inge (11 kills) were instrumental in the Bluefield College victory.
The match against Concord was the opening of a tri-match on the Concord Campus that also included Southern Virginia University.
In the match against SVU the Knights lanced the Rams in four games 16-25, 25-16, 20-25 and 22-25.
McCroskey had 22 assists and eight digs, Marissa Grice finished with 12 assists and three aces and Hannah Amis had 20 digs. Alley again had 15 kills and Johnson 10 digs.
Bluefield returns to action Friday at Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Reinhardt. (Ga.)
