BLUEFIELD, Va. - The Bluefield College women's volleyball team Lady Rams will home opener in the Dome Gymnasium, Friday September 11 at 6:30 p.m. in an Appalachian Athletic Conference match against the Fighting Koalas of Columbia (S.C.) College.
The Rams are under the leadership of a new coach this season and despite this year being Coach Gallemore's first season at BC, he has a ton of things to look forward to.
Gallemore inherited a handful of great returners that will help push the Rams forward. Two names that quickly come to mind are Jasmine Morrow and Amber Taylor–Inge. Both had good seasons in 2014. Gallemore added there are many more players important to the team, including returners and freshmen and all the ladies are important to the Rams' success.Â
The Rams are 1-1, having beaten West Virginia Tech and falling at AAC foe Montreat.
"It's always hard to come in and adjust to the players and get them to see my coaching style." Later on into the interview he stated, "They responded very well to the coaching change," Gallemore stated.Â
Gallemore is from Bluefield, a Graham High School graduate. He understands high school volleyball is growing in the area and is glad to be home. He feels as if God brought him here for a reason and he loves being closer to his family.Â
