Box Score 2 COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The Bluefield baseball team took advantage of its altered weekend schedule, taking a pair of wins from Benedict College on Saturday afternoon, 7-4 and 12-3.
The Rams' record levels at 3-3 with the pair of wins, while Bluefield will go for the series sweep on Sunday with a single game scheduled to begin at noon.
In game one,
Tyler Timmer launched a grand slam for his first home run for the season and his fourth as a Ram.
Chaz Miller recieved the win on the mound, his first with Bluefield to level his season mark to 1-1.
Alex Haas led the Rams to the win in game two thanks to an eight-strikout performance on the hill. He improves to 2-0 on the year.
Jacob Schober went 3-for-3 at the plate, while Garret Schilling provided three RBI.
