Box Score BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Despite rushing for 391 yards and amassing 446 total yards of offense, the Bluefield College football team dropped a 35-18 Mid-South Conference contest to the Union College Bulldogs, Saturday afternoon at Williamson Stadium.
Adrian Pope rushed for 130 yards,
Marion Harris 86 and
Rodrell Smith 81. In his return to the lineup after breaking his arm against Faulkner,
Sam Bennett ran for 75 yards.
Key were the five Bluefield turnovers, three interceptions and two fumbles, including one returned by the Bulldogs 92 yards for a score in the third quarter. Union (1-8. 1-4 MSC) garnered 353 yards of total offense.
Defensively for Bluefield
Ernest Moore and
Harry Casseus had nine tackles apiece and
Harry Hollins had eight.
The Rams are now 1-9 overall and 0-4 in the AAC. They wrap up regular season play Saturday when Kentucky Christian visits Mitchell Stadium for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
