Box Score BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – The Bluefield College Rams closed regular-season play Friday night at the East River Soccer Complex with a 5-2 win over the Concord University Mountain Lions.
The Rams wasted little time getting on the board, scoring in the game's second minute on a goal from Nikolai Solomon. Jean-Emmanuel Ahouman provided the assist. The roles were reversed in the 245th minute when Solomon feed Ahouman for the goal and Bluefield carried a 2-nil lead into the intermission.
Concord broke into the scoring column in the 57th minute when Max Simpson scored on an unassisted goal.
Bluefield got a pair of goals from Lee Harris-Brown, the first in the 65th and the second in the 68th minute. Ahouman assisted the first goal and Solomon the second. The Rams's final goal came in the 83rd minute when Solomon again found the net, the assist again going to Ahouman. A minute later Concord scored its second goal when Simpson fed Xander Bailey for the score.
The win is the second straight for the Rams who finish the regular season with a 6-11 mark. Bluefield travels to Milligan, Tuesday in a play-in game for the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament.
Concord finishes regular-season play with a 3-14 record.
