ATHENS, Tenn. -- For the second-straight week, the Rams return from Tennessee Wesleyan with an unfavorable result, as the No. 4 seeded Bulldogs took a 4-0 win over Bluefield to eliminate the Rams from Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament play, Saturday afternoon.
An own goal by the Rams in the first half gave TWC a 1-0 lead at the break. But, the Bulldogs recorded a pair of goals in the 58th and 60th minutes and added one more in the 84th minute to take the 4-0 shutout win.
The Bulldogs closed with a 20-11 advantage in shots, while just four of the Rams' 11 attempts was on frame. Tennessee Wesleyan recorded 14 shots on goal, as
Oscar Hernandez made 11 saves between the posts.
Bluefield now awaits seeding an additional information for the National Christian College Athletic Association Mid-East Region Tournament, in their second chance for postseason success.
