BLUEFIELD, Va. -- The Bluefield College volleyball team competes in a play-in game for the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament on Wednesday, taking on No. 8 Tennessee Wesleyan at the MeadowView Marriott Conference & Convention Center in Kingsport, Tenn., at 10 a.m.
With all 11 conference teams participating in the tournament, the bottom four seeds face play-in games with the winners advancing to the nine-team round of pool play.
The Lady Rams (6-21, 0-14 AAC) take the No. 11 seed and meet Tennessee Wesleyan (9-24, 4-11 AAC) as one of the opening two games of the tournament, which will take place on two courts.
Bluefield and TWC met once on the season, back on Sept. 7. The Bulldogs took the 3-1 win at the Dome Gymnasium, 25-21, 25-23, 15-25, 25-16.
Jasmine Morrow led Bluefield with 12 kills in the match and also added 14 digs.
Ashlyn Van Dyke led BC with 20 digs, while Morrow also tallied a pair of blocks.
Hayli Raines and Chassity Taylor had 14 and 10 kills, respectively, to lead the visiting Bulldogs to the win. Taylor also had 16 assists, while Raines led the team with 11 digs.
Should Bluefield defeat TWC, the Lady Rams would take the No. 9 seed and complete Pool C with No. 3 Seed Milligan (16-16, 10-4 AAC) and No. 4 Seed Reinhardt (16-11, 10-5 AAC).

Following pool play, the top six teams will advance for a single-elimination tournament. Teams will be re-seeded based on: 1) tournament record, 2) head-to-head in tournament, and 3) seed entering the tournament.
