BLUEFIELD, Va. -- Senior Night was celebrated in style for the Bluefield College women's soccer team, Saturday evening, thanks to a 2-0 win over West Virginia Tech at the East River Soccer Complex. Prior to the match, the program recognized its six seniors:

Summer Rigney. Bell and Burton also had a ceremonial opening kick, as both seniors are currently injured.
The win moves BC to 4-8-2 on the season, and improves their unbeaten streak to five straight (4-0-1). The Golden Bears dropped to 3-7-2 with the loss.

After West Virginia Tech tallied the first shot, Bluefield came back shortly after as Freire broke free, but keeper Martha Reyna made a pair of saves to keep BC's lead at just 1-0.
The Golden Bears found more opportunities in the second half, but could not capitalize.
The final talley came with just over a minute to play, as
Adriana Moreno knocked in a crossing pass from Browning. The pass was deflected slightly by Reyna, but continued to the front of the goal where Moreno sent it in for her first goal of the season.
Bluefield held a 16-6 advantage in shots for the night, including a 9-3 edge in shots on goal. BC had four corners to just two for the Golden Bears, while WV Tech had one of theirs late in the action before BC's second goal.
