Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

The Bluefield College volleyball team dropped its final two road games of the season early this week, falling to West Virginia Tech and Mid-South Conference opponent University of Pikeville, both by 3-0 margins. BC played both matches down a couple of starters as illness have struck the team late in the season.

Jasmine Morrow hammered down 22 kills against West Virginia Tech, hitting at a .315 clip. The sophomore had just five hitting errors on the evening and also tallied nine digs for the Rams in the tightly contested matchup.

The Golden Bears avenged a 3-0 loss to the Lady Rams earlier in the year by taking the match, 22-25, 21-25, 20-25.

Marissa Grice led BC in assists with 24, while Hannah Winter came up with a team high 13 digs in the team's defensive effort. Morrow also had a pair of solo blocks on the evening.

Playing its final road MSC matchup of the season, the hosting UPike Bears defeated BC 25-11, 20-25, 25-17.

Morrow once again led the Rams' offense as she continues to put up top numbers for the conference and in the nation. She tallied 14 kills and also added a game high 20 digs. Winter and Ashlyn Van Dyke also tallied double-digit digs totals with 11 and 12, respectively.

Bluefield concludes its 2013 slate next weekend, hosting MSC opponents No. 20 Georgetown and St. Catharine on Nov. 8 & Nov. 9. Game times are set for 7 p.m. and noon.
