Bluefield University Athletics

Charles "Buddy" Gallemore has been the Head Coach of the Bluefield University women’s volleyball program since 2015. During his tenure, he has cultivated a competitive and resilient program, coaching numerous standout players. 

Before joining Bluefield, Gallemore was the head coach at Midway College in Kentucky, where he led the volleyball team to its highest win total since 2011. Prior to that, he spent over a decade in secondary education as a physical education and health instructor, coaching softball for 14 years and volleyball for eight years.

A 1993 graduate of the University of the Cumberlands, Gallemore earned his B.S. in education with specializations in physical education and athletic training. He also holds a Master’s degree in Sport Administration from Concordia University, completed in 2012.

Gallemore’s coaching philosophy emphasizes instilling leadership, grit, and a relentless pursuit of dreams in his athletes. He aims to equip his student-athletes with lessons they can apply beyond the court to their personal and professional lives.
