Bluefield University Athletics

Garrett Schilling joined the Bluefield College coaching staff in the spring of 2016 as a part time coach and returned in the fall as a full-time assistant hitting coach and Head JV Coach.

Schilling is a native of San Diego, California where he played high school baseball at West Hills High School graduating in 2012. After high school he attended and continued to play baseball at San Diego Mesa Community College.

Afterwards he, transferred to Bluefield College on a scholarship where he played for two years as the starting catcher.

Garrett graduated from Bluefield College in December of 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science and a teaching licensure for Physical Education in grades PreK through 12 in the State of Virginia.
