Mike Jacobs brings extensive volleyball experience to the Bluefield University men's volleyball program. Jacobs is former volleyball coach at Graham (Bluefield, Va.) Middle School from 2017-19 and in 2021 with a 44-12 record and four Tazewell County Championships. He previously served as Assistant Administrator to YNot Volleyball Club in Athens, W.Va., He is a Volleyball certified coach and administrator by USA Volleyball and AAU Volleyball.
In addition to volleyball Jacobs has experience as a basketball coach. He served as assistant basketball coach at Bayside Middle School (1989-90). From 1991-94 he served as assistant boys basketball coach at Mercer Christian Academy (Princeton, W.Va.) and coached three first-team Class A All-State players. He served as head boys basketball coach at MCA from 1994-98 with two first-team Class A All State players.
Mike and his wife Laura are the parents of one son, Brandon, and two daughters, Sarah and Elise.
