Steve Lilly has been an accomplished amateur golfer over his lifetime playing in numerous high school, collegiate, state, regional, and national competitions. Steve is a promoter of junior golf in the region and has serves as a long-term board member of the Blue Ridge Junior Golf Tour. Steve holds several golf coaching certifications and is the founder of his own golf instruction business, Steve Lilly Golf LTP, LLC, which is based at Fincastle Golf Club in Bluefield, Virginia.

Steve holds two undergraduate degrees from Western Carolina University (WCU) in Economics and Business Management Administration. During Steve’s undergraduate studies, he was a NCAA Division I golfer at WCU. Steve earned various academic and golf honors at WCU. Steve also holds graduate degrees in banking and finance from the Universities of Oklahoma and Delaware where he graduated with honor and distinction.

Over the past 40 years, Steve has been affiliated with various publicly traded financial corporations. Most of those 40 years Steve held executive management level positions with those corporations. The last 23 years of Steve’s career was spent as First Community Bankshares Inc’s (FCB’s) Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President. Steve was responsible for the day-to-day operations of a $3.1 billion financial services company with 700 employees and $675 million in market capitalization. In 2020, Steve retired to follow his life-long dream of being a PGA instructor and coach.
