Nate Wilson

Nate Wilson is entering his second year as the defensive backs coach at Bluefield College. Wilson came to BC from Jirah Prep Academy where he was offensive coordinator, wide receiver, quarterback, and running backs coach. Under his tutelage the offense set records in points and total yards per game. 
Prior to Jirah Prep he was quarterback, wide receiver coach and offensive coordinator at South Charleston (W.Va.) High School. At SCHS he had three All-Conference players and helped head a young group to the playoffs. Before joining South Charleston he was at the University of Charleston (W.Va.) where he was running backs coach in the spring, and the defensive line coach for the fall.
Prior to his stint at UC he was quarterbacks/running backs/wide receivers coach and pass coordinator at Culter-Stockton College (Mo.). During his tenure the running game improved from 10th in the league in 2012 to seventh in 2013, and fourth in his final season at CSC.
Before joining CSC's coaching staff Wilson spent four seasons at West Virginia State University (2009-12) where we was defensive line coach, and in 2011 and '12 was the defensive line coach/run coordinator and co-defensive coordinator. Under Wilson five players earned all-WVIAC honors .
Wilson played at Fresno (Calif.) City College and later transferred to Concord University in Athens, W.Va. He started his coaching in Fresno, Calif., as quarterback coach at Theodore Roosevelt High School.
He is a graduate of Bluefield College, Class of 2009 with a BS in Organizational Leadership Management. He also holds a Master's Degree from Ohio University in 2013.
Wilson is married to his wife, Cari, and has three sons, Nathan Jr., Donovan, and Cameron, and two daughters, Natilea and Audrey.
