A native of Tazewell, Va., and a graduate of Tazewell High School, Brienna helped lead the Bulldogs to their first state tournament berth in softball as a senior. At THS she was a two-time All-Region IV selection and All-Southwest District three seasons. She batted over .300 for her career and had more than 250 strikeouts from the circle with a career ERA under 2.00. She was also a basketball and volleyball player at THS and was active in Teens for Christ, FBLA and Cadre. She is the daughter of William and Christina Sparks.
