BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – The Bluefield University men's soccer team came up short Saturday afternoon, dropping a 3–0 decision to Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Reinhardt University at the East River Soccer Complex.
The Eagles struck quickly, scoring in the 6th and 16th minutes to grab early control before adding a penalty kick goal just before halftime.
Bluefield goalkeeper Canaan Newman recorded three saves while facing 21 total shots, including six on target. Offensively, the Rams managed two shots on the day, with Juan Soto posting the team's lone shot on goal.
Reinhardt held a 7–1 advantage in corner kicks, while fouls favored Bluefield 26–13.
With the loss, the Rams move to 0–2 on the season, while Reinhardt improved to 2–1.
