Bluefield, VA - The Rams put on an offensive clinic Tuesday evening at Bowen Field, overwhelming WVU Tech with a commanding 11-0 victory in a game that ended early via the run rule.
The Rams wasted no time setting the tone, plating two runs in the first inning and never looking back. They added another in the second, one more in the third, before exploding for three in the fifth and four in the sixth to secure the mercy-rule win.
Bluefield's bats were on fire, tallying 16 hits while keeping the Golden Bears off the scoreboard. Dylan Cutler had a perfect night and led the Rams offense, finishing 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.  Andres Vega showed his offensive prowess once again, going 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, and an RBI. Nick Stergiou also shined, driving in a run on a 3-for-4 night. Sean Seale added a double and an RBI, while John Greenawalt contributed two hits and two RBIs. Aidan Brown was electric at the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and scoring three times.
On the mound, Raymond Smith delivered a masterful performance, tossing a complete-game shutout over seven innings, allowing just three hits while striking out five. The Rams' defense played flawlessly behind him, committing no errors and turning two double plays.
WVU Tech struggled to generate any offense, mustering just three hits and leaving three runners stranded. Their pitching staff had no answer for Bluefield's relentless attack, surrendering 11 runs on 16 hits and issuing five free passes.
With the dominant win, Bluefield improves their early-season momentum and will look to carry this energy into their next matchup.Â
