KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Bluefield University Rams advanced in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament with a 7-3 win over the St. Andrews University Knights at Hunter-Wright Stadium, Tuesday evening. With the win the Rams advance to the double elimination tournament and take on the tournament's top seeded Reinhardt University, Wednesday at 7 p.m.
INSIDE THE GAME

• Bluefield took a 1-0 lead, pushing across a run on an error in the second inning.
• St. Andrews tied the game in the fourth.
• The Rams scored three runs in the fourth. Matt Beisecker started the scoring with a two-run double, and Andres Vega brought Beisecker home with a single to make it 4-1.
• BU added three more runs in the eighth. Two came home on Nick Guerra's single and the third crossed the plate on a fielder's choice.
• SAU scored twice in the eighth.

LEADERS

• Gabriel Delvalle pitched seven-and-a-third innings and allowed two runs on four hits with eight strikeouts.
• Tyrone Woods worked the final inning-and-two-thirds. He allowed one run, one hit, and struck out three.
• Guerra and Beisecker each had two hits and two RBI.

NEXT IN LINE

• Tournament #1 seed and nationally ranked Reinhardt is next in line for the Rams in the double-elimination tournament. Win or lose BU will return to the field on Friday.
