BLUEFELD – Bluefield University men's volleyball welcomed the St. Andrews University Knights to the Dome Gymnasium, Friday evening for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match. The Knights took the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE MATCH

• The match opened with a kill by Kyle Pietrzak to give the Rams the first point of the night. Neither team was able to gain more than a two-point advantage until St. Andrews took a 14-11 lead and Bluefield called time. SAU went on a 5-2 run and BU used its final time out of the set, down 19-13. The Knights took the opening set 25-18.
• SAU drew first blood in the second set and went out to an 8-1 lead. BU fought and closed to within three at 11-8. St, Andrews then embarked on a 5-1 run forcing Bluefield to use its first time out of the set. The Knights won the second set 25-15.
• St. Andrews jumped to a 4-0 lead to open the third set. Bluefield called time down 16-8, SAU took the final set 25-12 to take the match.

LEADERS

• Mason Lloyd finished with 11 kills.
• Benedict Somes had 24 assists.
• Noah Clements collected eight digs.
