Kimberlin Heights, TN – The Rams traveled to Johnson University on Saturday to play their final game of the season. While the season did not conclude as the Rams had hoped, they managed to secure a 3-3 tie against the Royals.
The Johnson Royals struck first, scoring within the first five minutes of the match. After a tense stalemate, the Rams found their footing when Cameron Richter was fouled in the box, earning a penalty kick. Richter confidently converted the penalty, tying the game 1-1 just before halftime.
In the second half, the Royals regained control, scoring two quick goals to take a commanding 3-1 lead. However, the Rams refused to back down. With just six minutes remaining, Louis Märker connected with Juan Soto for a well-placed goal, narrowing the gap to 3-2. In a dramatic turn of events, Richter was fouled again with only two minutes left on the clock, earning another penalty kick. He stepped up once more, successfully converting the kick to tie the game at 3-3.
Head Coach Gabriel Blakman reflected on the season, saying, "Although it wasn't the best outcome for our last game, I continue to be proud of my guys for how hard they fought every away game."
