BLUEFIELD – The Bluefield University men's basketball team ran out of time Wednesday night at the Dome Gymnasium and the Union College Bulldogs claimed a 78-7 6 Appalachian Athletic Conference win.
INSIDE THE GAME

• The Rams took control early and built a 10-point lead midway through the opening half.
• BU shot 46% from the field in the first half and led 38-35 at halftime.
• Union charged back in the second half and led by 10 points with three minutes to play.
• Bluefield fought back in the final minutes to within two points as time expired.
• There were two ties and four lead changes in the contest.

LEADERS

• Elijah White fired in 26 points and added seven rebounds and a pair of assists.
• Danny Alford collected a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
• Say'Quon Welsh came off the bench to drop in 13 points.

• The Rams host Bryan College, Saturday at noon. At halftime BU will hold its annual Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a Teddy Bear to gain free admission and at halftime the stuffed animals will be tossed onto the court. All donations will benefit the Bluefield Union Mission and will help serve deserving children.
