VALLEY, Ala. – The Point University Skyhawks dealt the Bluefield University Rams their first conference loss of the season, 33-31, Saturday afternoon.
Point took a 14-0 lead. The Rams scored in the first quarter, then again in the second as the teams went to the halftime break tied at 14. Point led 27-24 heading into the fourth quarter.
Thomas Lee caught eight passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. Nathan Herstich completed 21-of-47 passes for 307 yards and three touchdowns. Mykkel Banks led the defense with 11 tackles.
The Rams are open this week before hosting Pikeville for homecoming on Oct. 21.
