KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Bluefield University softball got back on the winning track with a doubleheader sweep of the Johnson University Royals 10-2, 10-1 Saturday afternoon. Both games ended in five innings.
GAME ONE

• BU led 7-0 after its first three at-bats, then added three in the fifth on a three-run home run by Claudia Santana.
• Jocilyn Thompson and Hallie Cox combined to throw a three-hitter.

LEADERS

• Lauryn Bailey had three hits.
• Hannah Taylor had two hits.

GAME TWO

• The Rams scored four times in the first and never looked back.
• Cox and Laci Williams combined to limit Johnson to six hits.

LEADERS

• Taylor had three hits.
• Chloe Hicks, Kristina Sanchez, and Rowe each had a pair of hits.
