PIKEVILLE, Ky. - Bluefield University baseball remained perfect to open the season with a 14-9 win at the University of Pikeville, Tuesday afternoon. The win improved the Rams to 14-0 on the year and continued the best start in school history.
The Rams scored two in the seventh and two in the eighth to take the lead and eventual victory from the Bears.

• Taylor Maldonado was 4-for-5 with three RBIs, with a solo home run.

• Eligha Lewis, Taylor Meaux, and Bryce Medlock each had a pair of hits.
• Ryan Tayman earned the pitching victory.
• Tyler Lowey picked up his third save of the year.
