MARIETTA, Ga. - Mid-South Conference POD host Life University slipped past the Bluefield University Rams men's volleyball team Friday night in five sets. Life won the opening set 25-23 before BU took the next two sets 25-16 and 28-26. The Eagles then took the fourth set 25-23, and the fifth 15-11 to take the match.

LEADERS

• Leonel Fernandez led BU with 12 kills. Alvaro Grande and Devon Robinson each had 11, and JoVeaun Banks finished with 10.
• Fernand Morales tallied 19 digs.
• Caleb Word dished out 45 assists.

• The Rams wrap up POD play Saturday morning against Warner University.

"We lost another heartbreaking match today. Both went to five sets against two of the top teams in our conference. Life University is a very strong team and we were right there with them. We will regroup and get back after it again tomorrow (Saturday) as we face Warner."
