BLUEFIELD – The Bluefield University men's basketball team opened the 2022-23 season Sunday afternoon with a 78-41 win over the Regent University Royals at the Dome Gymnasium. With 14 new players on the roster, the "Young Rams" raced to an early double-digit lead and led 41-20 at halftime.
LEADERS

• Newcomers Jamal Hinkle and Spencer Hairston each scored 12 points to lead BU.
• Freshman Kaleb Morgan snagged six rebounds.
• Volante Carroll, Elijah White, and Brandon Shields each scored nine points.
• Carroll had a game-high seven rebounds with two blocks and two assists.

• The Rams open Appalachian Athletic Conference play Saturday, Nov. 5 at Point University.
