William Penn defeats men's volleyball

LEBANON, Tenn. – Men's volleyball was up early and on the court Saturday, taking on William Penn University of Iowa in a match at Cumberland University. The Rams fought, but fell in three sets, 23-25, 17-25, 16-25.
Alberto Chiaparini led the charge for Bluefield College with 15 kills Caleb Word had 17 assists and Tony Martin 10. Colby Mutter finished with five digs.
Head coach Alfonso Alvarez said, "As our team continues to develop and learn, we have these kinds of games. We will get back on track soon. There were many encouraging things to take away from this match. Also, it is great to see Alberto put together a couple of nice matches as he continues to close out his collegiate career."
