Bryan takes series finale

DAYTON, Tenn. – Bryan College, ranked 15th in the NAIA, came from behind for the second time in the series and defeated the Bluefield College Rams 5-4, Saturday afternoon in the second game of the teams' doubleheader.
Bryan took a 1-0 lead before David Meech smacked a two-run home run in the fourth inning to put Bluefield ahead 2-1. The Rams added two more runs in the fifth. The Lions responded with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead and eventually claim the game and a series sweep over Bluefield.
The Rams had five scattered hits. Kody Gardere, the second of four Bluefield pitchers, took the loss in one-third inning of work in the fifth inning.
It was the first AAC series loss for the Rams, who had previously taken two-of-three games against Union, Milligan, and Montreat.
