Harmon tosses one-hitter to lead Rams past Johnson

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Lexi Harmon tossed a one hitter to lead Bluefield College to a 2-0 win over Johnson University, Wednesday afternoon in the opening game of a doubleheader between the two schools.
Johnson had a no hitter through six innings, before the Royals got their only hit of the game to open the seventh inning. She finished with six strikeouts.
At the plate Claudia Santana, Kristina Sanchez, Harmon and Gabrielle Melick each had a pair of hits. Sanchez and Chloe Hicks each knocked in a run.
The win was the second straight for the Rams and pushed the team's record to 3-2 headed into the nightcap.
