BLUEFIELD - Bluefield College honored seniors Niquan Cousins and D'Monte Evans in pregame ceremonies Saturday afternoon at the Dome Gymnasium and the two left it on the the court in the final game at the Dome as the Rams fell to Columbia International University 79-74 in overtime in AAC play.
Cousins had a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Evans finished with 13 points, five rebounds and a pair of blocks.
CIU stormed out of the gate and built a 10-point lead only to see Bluefield whittle it away and take the lead in span of the late first half and the early second half. The teams battled back-and-forth with each forging ahead before regulation ending with the teams knotted at 67.
The CIU Rams out-scored the BC Rams 12-7 in the extra period to take the win.
Jermiah Jenkins scored 13 and Stanley Christian added 11 with seven rebounds for Bluefield.
