Baseball splits with OCU

BLUEFIELD - Baseball split a non-conference doubleheader with Ohio Christian University on a cold, Saturday afternoon at Bowen Field. The Rams took game one 8-5, while the Trailblazers claimed game two 17-4.
In the opener Nathan Cutler struck out 10 OCU batters in seven innings to gain the win and lead BC to victory. Wayne Butler and Elianel Mejia each had a pair of hits and Lenyn Napoleon and George Curbelo Jr. both knocked in a pair of runs.
In the nightcap Ohio Christian scored four times in the first and then nine times in the seventh to gain the win.
Andreas Holtzer and Ozzie Millet had a pair of hits for BC.
The two teams conclude the series with a single game Sunday at 1 p.m. at Bowen Field.
