BLUEFIELD - Leo Garcia's goal in the 72nd minute broke a 1-1 tie and lifted men's soccer to a 2-1 win over Columbia International University, Wednesday night at the East River Soccer Complex. With the win the Rams snapped its four-game skid and won its first AAC match of the 2019 season.
After a scoreless first half, Bluefield took a 1-0 lead in the 57th minute on Abel Bogale's goal. The CIU Rams drew even four minutes later in the 61st minute.
Garcia's game-winning goal sparked a celebration when the final horn sounded. The Rams take to the field next on Oct. Wed., Oct. 2 at Kentucky Christian.
